We have also provided a Register of Governor Interests and an Annual Statement of Issues for your information.
My previous experience of being a Governor was several years ago when my own children were younger. I have been a Governor at Victoria Road since June 2016 and I am one of the Safeguarding Governors.
In a past life I was a Business Manager for Plymouth City Council and am now employed as an Executive Assistant for a local IT firm, Delt Shared Services.
I have lived in Plymouth since a young age and live in the west of the city.
Alan has recently joined the Board of Governors at Victoria Road Primary School. He is a main board Director at Davies Turner, the largest Independent logistics company in the UK with over 1000 employees. His role involves all aspects of Employment law, Health and Safety, Finance and Compliance. He has lectured in International Trade at Plymouth University and visited local schools presenting courses on Interview Techniques for the Chamber of Commerce. Alan has lived in the South West for the last 30 years and is a local resident of St Budeaux. His daughter, Darcey, attends Victoria Road School and is currently in Year 1.
I recently moved back to Plymouth after living in London for 10 years. I served in the Royal Air Force for 6 years and started my own small business in 2015 selling craft goods for weddings and other seasonal events.
I am passionate about my children’s education and have two children who attend Victoria Road. I am married to a teacher and I am keen to support the parents, children and school so that our children have the best possible education.
