Home Learning

Every week the children in year 4 are expected to complete 4 different types of home learning:

(Most likely linked to times tables)

English/Topic Piece

Below are the links to help all pupils access the online Home Learning. The pupil's home learning is sent home every week in their Home Learning Books. Please ensure they are not lost and are returned back to school on or before Wednesday with the learning completed.

For more information about home learning please refer to your child's 'Home Learning Booklet' that will be sent home in the first week of term.

1. Reading

All children are expected to read twice at home either independently or with someone else. Please ensure that after reading the child's reading diaries are signed by a parent/family member/guardian.

Reading Diaries need to be in everyday so they can be checked.

As well as reading, children are able to complete Accelerated Reading quizzes at home using the link below. Please can you record their quiz scores in their reading diaries so we can celebrate their success or provide more support if needed.

2. Spellings

Weekly spellings will be sent home on Friday and need to be learnt and completed by Wednesday when we will have our weekly spelling test.

3. Maths Home Learning

This will be sent home on a Friday and needs to be completed by the Wednesday.

Maths home learning will vary each week, however it will most likely be set through TTRS or IXL.

4. English/Topic Home Learning

This once again will be set on a Friday and needs to be handed back in by the following Wednesday.

English/Topic will vary each week but will normally be set on IXL, MS Teams or sent as a paper copy in the children's home learning books.
